Benefits of Shockwave

  • No surgical treatment

How Shockwave Treatment Works

Shockwave was developed by the Swedes to break up kidney stones and research has found it to be highly effective for musculoskeletal conditions.

The shockwaves disrupt the abnormal tissue, such as scarring and calcification, and promote the growth of small blood vessels. This improves blood flow to the area and helps tissue to regenerate. It can be a great non-surgical alternative for chronic pain.

Depending on the condition, shockwave treatment is typically done once a week for 3 to 6 weeks. This treatment can produce some mild discomforts which only last from 3 to 4 minutes, but the intensity can be adjusted to keep you comfortable for the duration of the session.
